Make your Gray Suit Lively with Colourful Neckties

As you all know, the fashion world is very dynamic, it keeps on changing every day and people’s opinion about fashion also keeps on changing. With time, trends of company apparel also show variations. Work wear is inclining more towards casuals. Many brands have also come up with casual corporate apparel, though neckties will continue to be a popular accessory for men in their work wear.

Neckties worn with in a nice contrast break the monotonous look. It is an addition to the solidness and simplicity of a corporate suit. It is appreciated if you have a composed collection of some neckties rather than a huge one. You will find different colours, fabrics and designs of a necktie. Pick the one that suits your profession! A necktie is an artistic accessory that has its own charm and magic.

Since it is quite cold now, winter clothing of drab cream colours, dark shades or unexciting gray colours are usually seen. But don’t be upset at this. By wearing a bright coloured tie, you can bring life to any dreary clothing. Choose the right kind of tie with your corporate wear and become a style statement for other male colleagues in office. Striped ties with two bands of colour can be a good choice for completing your work clothing.

Selecting silk neckties is also a nice idea to add both fashion and colour to your winter wear! Elegant neckties are just comfortable and warm (like scarves) and can enhance any kind of suit or sweater.

Corporate Uniform- A Must for Some Industries

Those who can wear corporate attire of their choice always have some brain racking to do when it comes to buying clothes to add to your office wardrobe or work-wear. There are some industries like the airlines and the hospitality industry where all employees have a strict corporate dress code- company uniforms. Some consider it a blessing in disguise since it saves you the task to shop and select your work wear clothes each day. Some consider it a disadvantage since it leave with no option to choose what you want to wear to work. From the point of view of the company or organization, it is always an advantage since the management does not have to constantly check the employee’s dress code. Also, they expect the employees to maintain the uniforms in clean and perfect conditions since all employees are paid a special periodical allowance towards the maintenance and upkeep of the office uniforms.

An individual employee though, might feel stifled if he or she has to wear the same uniform day after day. Also, it will not allow the employee to infuse his personal characteristics in the way he/she dresses. All employees would be dressing up similarly avoiding one’s personal taste as well as style. What such employees can do to asset their individuality and not get lost in the crowd is to sport a nice persona and attitude which makes them look professional as well as perfect in their work uniform. They can also add some personal touch by exuding charm and confidence in their own way.

It is always a great idea to sport corporate uniforms since it allows your clients or customers as well as the company management to identify you easily!

Tips on Hairstyles to Compliment the Image of the Working Woman- Part I

Your hair is an important part of your persona and when it comes to women, they want the style factor as well as the comfort factor with their daily hairstyle. Working women, who have to juggle their career, home front, social life and their families, are always on the look-out for easy to maintain hairstyles which require little or no maintenance.

With the kind of life we all are living amidst pollution and chemicals, being dumped into our hair follicles under the mask of conditioners, shampoo, hair colors, hair treatments, etc, no maintenance seem a distant dream. Yes, minimal maintenance hairstyles are certainly there which you can opt for.

A medium or shorter length in hair is what is recommended since it takes lesser time to shampoo when compared to longer hair. Hair which can be tied neatly and held up the nape is good since it imparts a neater look. It does not appear unkempt and can even be let loose to rest on your shoulders when you need to party after a hard day at work. When it comes to hair color and highlights, you must keep in mind your professional image at work before you choose the color. Do steer clear of wild and vivid hues since it would make you appear less serious about your image. At the same time, the accessories you choose for your hair should not be flashy and you must stick to minimalistic accessories like a comb, a rubber band or a simple hair band. Avoid any loose strands of hair from coming on your eyes and not only will it look careless and unkempt, it would also damage your eye sight in the long run.

Remember, your hairstyle is as important as your choice of corporate apparels and work wear when it comes to making or breaking your corporate image.

If the woman who is expecting a child soon, is working in a corporate world which has strict do’s and don’ts when it comes to work-wear and style, she might have to abide by the rules and yet play safe where her comfort is concerned. Women in the top rungs of the corporate ladder are used to wearing pant suits or skirt suits, especially when they have to meet clients or make presentations on a regular basis. For expecting mothers, there is a wide range of professional and stylish maternity clothes available today. If a woman is working her way through the third trimester, which is not a novel scene anymore, then she might even have to invest in a maternity business suit.

Just as there are jeans and trousers which are styled, keeping in mind the comfort level an expecting mother would need during her nine-months, there are business suits which are specially designed for these women and are created in soft and stretchable fabrics which come with adjustable panels. Some well-known designers also cater to this niche market related to maternity business/work wear apparels. They create jackets which can allow a woman to move freely and also support her wider frame as the pregnancy progresses through the second and third trimesters. Women should opt for suits which have longer jackets as it will help them camouflage the growing bump. Also, the trousers should not be too fitted at the thighs as it would restrict free movement.

Power Dressing- The Key to Success when Appearing for a ‘Conservative’ Job Interview

If you have to appear for an interview you must believe that the first impression which you create always matters a lot. These days with specialization becoming the call of the day, the right work wear or corporate attire for a job interview is not just as simple as wearing your suit, a tie and a polished pair of shoes.

If you are going to be interviewed for a conservative job profile, power suits are more for you. The best colors for you would be black, charcoal grey or darkest blue. The shirt you choose should be white and crisply ironed. Your shoes should be black leather again and should come with laces. Accessories always play a very important role in getting your look together. So do accessorize it with cuff links, a tie preferably in solid colors and a good leather briefcase or laptop bag. Use cologne and keep your nails short and trimmed. Your hair should be sleekly styled and should not look like an untidy mop. If you want to exude an air of confidence as well as responsibility, you must look well-groomed too.

Power suits are generally made to order or tailor made suits in dark brown, blue or even charcoal grey shades. Black also looks good but the current trend prefers the charcoal grey color as black is more apt for funerals and tuxedos. One can spice this power suit with a mildly dressy tie but again, to play it safe, it is ideal to go for solid colors.

So next time, you are appearing for a job interview for a finance or sales job with regard to a senior profile, remember the key lies in ‘power dressing’!

What to wear for the Job Interview-The Right Corporate Attire for Women

In our professional lives, we have to meet clients and sometimes if our designation and job profile so demands, have to be a part of an interview panel, grilling new applicants. There are no specific dress codes with regard to those who are a part of job interviews, but yes, no matter which side of the interview table you are on, you can always follow certain guidelines to look your best.

Club attire should never be confused with work wear. If you feel you can wear a particular attire to the club or when you are out pubbing with friends, you cannot wear it to work when your are interviewing job candidates or are being interviewed yourself. Pant suits are the most preferred choice as they are comfortable while travelling and also exude the right blend of style and professionalism. Some women also prefer the skirt suits but the length of the skirt should not be too short for comfort. High slits and mini-skirts can be way too distracting. The shirts you wear should not be too frilly or revealing. Decent necklines and well tailored blouses are recommended. Black, brown, dark gray and navy blue are the best colors which compliment most skin tones. But, if you prefer lighter colors, you can experiment with fawn, cream and light blue too.

While accessorizing, you can opt for scarves also. Bags should not be too big or flashy and vibrant. Try to coordinate the color of your bag with your footwear. Avoid tote bags and cinch-packs. Stick to leather as it looks business-like. Closed-toe shoes are the best but do not over do with the heel part as chunky high heels, stilettos and noisy shoes make you look unprofessional. Keep your jewelry bare minimum and so should be your make-up. Exude style and feel comfortable and you will be sure to create the right impression.
