Proper Business Attire: How To Dress Properly

It is tough to draw the lines between what is acceptable and what is unacceptable in case of the professional business attire. Although, the traditional business dressing was somewhat stringent yet it has undergone several changes during these days. Traditional business attire consists of a dress suit and formal trousers including a matching coat and slacks, a long sleeved dress shirt, a necktie, and dress shoes etc are no longer very popular nowadays. However, bright colors are a strict “No” for both men and women in the workplace today as well.
During the 20th century, Business Casual” concept has come into existence. With its introduction, many companies started following it strictly in order to create a more relaxed environment. Companies following “Business Casual” or “Smart Casual” dress code require men to wear a shirt with a collar, cotton slacks, and a pair of loafers. Jeans and gym shoes are rarely acceptable. However, some companies have accepted a lenient dress code on Fridays long before the concept of business casual has come into existence. This dress code varies widely from company to company.
The reason behind introducing the casual dress in the office is to make the environment more relaxed. However, you need to dress carefully to ensure that your casual are not reflecting a party mood.
