Bracelets look great as a part of your corporate attire

We often say that jewelry is a woman’s best friend. This is indeed true, at least to some extent. Whatever be the work clothing, a little bit of jewelry completes the whole appearance and brings out the feminine qualities in a woman. Among the different kinds of jewelry that women wear to office, bracelets are their favorite as they go well with any kind of workwear. Work clothing can consist of skirts, shirts and trousers or any other formal attire. A sleek bracelet looks good with every one of them. That is the reason bracelets are top on the list of must-have jewelries for women. As bracelets are available in a most wide variety of designs, one must know which ones should be worn to office and which ones shouldn’t.

An important thing to keep in mind is that only one bracelet is enough to make you look different from the crowd. There is no need to wear multiple bracelets at the same time because that will only make you look ridiculous in the corporate setting. Choose the most classy one and create your own fashion statement.

Secondly, it is better if you choose those bracelets that stick to the wrist for the purpose of wearing to office. Dangly bracelets are definitely fun but they are not appropriate for office. Dangling ones make a sound that can often cause distraction in your own work as well as for your fellow workers’. A simple bracelet in a beautiful color is all you need to spice up your otherwise normal workwear.

A few rules about what should you wear to a job interview

When we talk about company apparel, we take into account not only the business clothing that you wear to office everyday but also that clothing which you should wear to your job interview. If you are really serious about getting a good job, then it is better to keep a few things in mind. The aim is to create an amazing first impression, which can work wonders more often than not. These rules have become quite common in the corporate world and are referred to as “dress for success.”

Firstly, whatever business clothing you wear, don’t forget to include a suit. You can wear suit with pants or skirt, but a business suit is a must. If you are wearing a shirt underneath the suit, make sure the shirt is either white or of some other light color. Shirts with vertical stripes are preferred more as they mirror the male dominated business culture.

The second rule is all about shoes. Never go for open toed shoes or sandals. If you are uncomfortable with very high heels, then avoid it. You should be able to walk properly. Close toed shoes having moderate heels are your best options.

Thirdly, you should always be careful not to wear anything that can send wrong signals to the interviewers. Your company apparel reflects your taste and speaks a lot about you.

Fourthly, avoid wearing anything that is too loose or something in which you are so comfortable that it reflects on your attitude. It often sends wrong message to interviewers that you lack in discipline and that you are self-indulgent. Denim shorts, loose sweaters, jogging suits are a strict no-no.

Fifthly, be careful about the color you choose. Stay away from bold shades like orange, red or green. Blue, gray, beige are the safest colors to be worn to an interview.

A skirt enhances a woman’s beauty and innocence in its own way. Skirts make women look more stylish and professional when worn to office. But it is of utmost importance that you choose one that lends you a smart yet elegant look. You can either select a casual or conservative skirt to wear as a part of your office attire. They both are good choices when it comes to office clothing, but you need to make sure that its color and style is in tune with your office dress code.

Although knee length skirts are most popular among women, formal long skirts are great to be worn in winter. Ideally the material should be cotton, wool or twill, and a hint of pleats and ruffles give it a great feminine touch. Most of the women are fond of A-line skirts as they accentuate the waistline very nicely. Pencil skirts are the most fashionable among women’s business apparel. They go well with all body types starting from the curvaceous to the very slim. These skirts go straight down the waist and taper at the knees, thus highlighting the curves of the body. Casual skirts made of linen, wool, khaki or cotton are very comfortable for a full-day wear and at the same time look professional enough to be worn to office.

No matter which skirt you choose to wear, do remember to take the comfort factor into account.

Mix and Match Jersey Skirts to Create your Own Signature Style at Work

Skirt suits are a great thing to wear to work but when it comes to mix and match from what you have in your wardrobe, you cannot afford to sport a skirt which you think you might also wear when you are dancing away the blues with your friends!

A spandex skirt or one which is made of jersey fabric and has an elastic waistband is good to wear to work. It does not require much maintenance and you can team it up with a modest “no-nonsense” blouse or even a cotton polo, if casual work wear is more your style. A scoop necked sweater can also help you to keep warm as the autumn is almost setting in soon.

Jersey Skirts can also be a little longer in length almost touching your ankles. Such skirts can be teamed with a jacket or a sweater in case you feel the temperatures are going down. Jersey is a fabric which makes comfortable maternity wear and for all those “soon-to-be-moms” who are looking for something nice and comfy to wear to work can opt for dresses in this fabric.

Jersey skirts are versatile and drape well to compliment any shape. If layered well, they even help in hiding certain flaws. If you possess shapely legs and want to flaunt them, then you can even experiment with Italian jersey skirts in soft muted colors. They can be teamed with soft cotton shirts and if you are planning an evening out straight after work, all you need to do is accessorize it right with a scarf or a beaded neck piece. For a fabric which amazingly comfortable and great to style, jersey is ideal for almost all shapes and styles in skirts.
