For the “Corporate” Mom-to-be- A Maternity Business Suit Which Exudes Style and is Comfortable too

A couple of weeks back we had discussed about the right and comfortable corporate wear for the mother-to-be who is a working woman and has to juggle her domestic front as well as her career with the same élan.

If the woman who is expecting a child soon, is working in a corporate world which has strict do’s and don’ts when it comes to work-wear and style, she might have to abide by the rules and yet play safe where her comfort is concerned. Women in the top rungs of the corporate ladder are used to wearing pant suits or skirt suits, especially when they have to meet clients or make presentations on a regular basis. For expecting mothers, there is a wide range of professional and stylish maternity clothes available today. If a woman is working her way through the third trimester, which is not a novel scene anymore, then she might even have to invest in a maternity business suit.

Just as there are jeans and trousers which are styled, keeping in mind the comfort level an expecting mother would need during her nine-months, there are business suits which are specially designed for these women and are created in soft and stretchable fabrics which come with adjustable panels. Some well-known designers also cater to this niche market related to maternity business/work wear apparels. They create jackets which can allow a woman to move freely and also support her wider frame as the pregnancy progresses through the second and third trimesters. Women should opt for suits which have longer jackets as it will help them camouflage the growing bump. Also, the trousers should not be too fitted at the thighs as it would restrict free movement.

For the moms-to-be who do not want to compromise on their style, there are many online websites which can allow them the ease to shop for awesome professional maternity clothing including maternity business suits and suit separates.

Mix and Match Jersey Skirts to Create your Own Signature Style at Work

Skirt suits are a great thing to wear to work but when it comes to mix and match from what you have in your wardrobe, you cannot afford to sport a skirt which you think you might also wear when you are dancing away the blues with your friends!

A spandex skirt or one which is made of jersey fabric and has an elastic waistband is good to wear to work. It does not require much maintenance and you can team it up with a modest “no-nonsense” blouse or even a cotton polo, if casual work wear is more your style. A scoop necked sweater can also help you to keep warm as the autumn is almost setting in soon.

Jersey Skirts can also be a little longer in length almost touching your ankles. Such skirts can be teamed with a jacket or a sweater in case you feel the temperatures are going down. Jersey is a fabric which makes comfortable maternity wear and for all those “soon-to-be-moms” who are looking for something nice and comfy to wear to work can opt for dresses in this fabric.

Jersey skirts are versatile and drape well to compliment any shape. If layered well, they even help in hiding certain flaws. If you possess shapely legs and want to flaunt them, then you can even experiment with Italian jersey skirts in soft muted colors. They can be teamed with soft cotton shirts and if you are planning an evening out straight after work, all you need to do is accessorize it right with a scarf or a beaded neck piece. For a fabric which amazingly comfortable and great to style, jersey is ideal for almost all shapes and styles in skirts.

What to wear for the Job Interview-The Right Corporate Attire for Women

In our professional lives, we have to meet clients and sometimes if our designation and job profile so demands, have to be a part of an interview panel, grilling new applicants. There are no specific dress codes with regard to those who are a part of job interviews, but yes, no matter which side of the interview table you are on, you can always follow certain guidelines to look your best.

Club attire should never be confused with work wear. If you feel you can wear a particular attire to the club or when you are out pubbing with friends, you cannot wear it to work when your are interviewing job candidates or are being interviewed yourself. Pant suits are the most preferred choice as they are comfortable while travelling and also exude the right blend of style and professionalism. Some women also prefer the skirt suits but the length of the skirt should not be too short for comfort. High slits and mini-skirts can be way too distracting. The shirts you wear should not be too frilly or revealing. Decent necklines and well tailored blouses are recommended. Black, brown, dark gray and navy blue are the best colors which compliment most skin tones. But, if you prefer lighter colors, you can experiment with fawn, cream and light blue too.

While accessorizing, you can opt for scarves also. Bags should not be too big or flashy and vibrant. Try to coordinate the color of your bag with your footwear. Avoid tote bags and cinch-packs. Stick to leather as it looks business-like. Closed-toe shoes are the best but do not over do with the heel part as chunky high heels, stilettos and noisy shoes make you look unprofessional. Keep your jewelry bare minimum and so should be your make-up. Exude style and feel comfortable and you will be sure to create the right impression.

Corporate Casuals for Women Should Not Be Taken ‘Too Casually’

When it comes to women’s work wear, most women as well as corporate houses prefer pant suits or skirt suits in dark hues. But, with time, there is a new genre of business clothing which has emerged to become very popular with the ‘fashionista’ in the corporate world. Many women prefer corporate casuals to strict business clothes when they are attending job interviews, trade fairs, career fairs and on their daily work routines. The main reason behind this is the comfort factor. Corporate casuals help a woman look trendy, professional and she does not have to compromise on the feminine factor.

Tailored shirts, blouses which are made to order, skirts which are either knee length or go just below it, dressy pants or slacks, dresses which are two pieces and can be complimented with a jacket, the list is endless. A woman is spoilt for choice when it comes to corporate casual work wear. But then what should be avoided to work?? Anything which shows too much skin, deep necklines, casual jeans, shorts, clothes which are too high on the ‘bling’ quotient should all be avoided. Miniskirts and micro miniskirts not only make the wearer uncomfortable, they do not professional either. Sleeveless dresses and blouses are acceptable, but noodle straps look too casual. Sequined outfits also look too flashy and are good for office parties but not when one is attending a seminar or meet.

When it comes to accessories, women cannot afford to ignore the fact that the right accessories can make or break a look. High-heel shoes can be worn if one is comfortable in them. Flip flops and worn out sneakers are something which should be totally avoided. Bags should not be too flashy and vibrant as they can distract anyone. Even the jewelry should be kept chic and minimum. No long necklaces and chandelier earrings, please! Whether you prefer strict business clothing or corporate casuals, your corporate apparel should define your personal style and offer maximum comfort possible.

Suits Are ‘In’ For the Working Woman of Today

Women have a difficult time every morning before going to work- it is certainly not easy to decide on the work wear, especially when there is an important presentation or client you must meet. If she is a working m a single mother who has to juggle work and home, she has all the more problems with finding enough time to go shopping before the crucial day.

Believe me, business suits do not have to be dull and boring anymore. You can look shapely as well exude the right degree of professionalism, style and confidence if you choose the right cut and color. If you are picking up a suit off the rack, as in choosing a ready to wear business suit, then first consider your budget and then decide on the brand. Most leading designers, retail ready to wear corporate apparel for the working women. They are not only reasonably priced but are extremely comfortable too.

Work suits for women can be either skirt suits or pant suits. The latter being a more popular option, deserves special care as wearing a pant suit does not mean that you cannot look feminine in it. You can opt for a flared pant suit when it comes to your executive style suit, if you want to exude a youthful spirit. If you want to play it safe with something classier, a pinstripe woman’s pantsuit might be the one for you. In dark colors like navy blue or black, they can make any woman appear business-like.

If you want to sport a skirt suit, remember that short skirts do not go as well as the knee-length, straight skirts. If you pick up something which is ready to wear, do get it altered to fit your exact measurements as badly fitted work wear can make you appear shoddy and careless.
