Recent Changes in the World of Corporate Clothing

Getting dressed for a business meeting or for a family get-together is in no way similar. Business clothing for men essentially means that it should be proper formal wear that is suitable in a professional atmosphere. Any traditional formal business apparel for men consists of a tie with a full or half-sleeved formal shirt and a pair of trousers. A proper business suit with a matching blazer and trousers is necessary. However, over the past few years, work wear has undergone a sea of change.

Stylish clothing ranges from the branded to the generic, and general fashion stores are paving the way to more cool and comfortable formal wear which modern men feel associated with. The mantra nowadays is business casual where you can wear a business suit without a tie. It does not violate the business protocol of most modern corporate houses. You can also wear chequered half-sleeved shirts as office wear. Suits are also available in different styles and materials. In some of the offices, Jeans and T-shirts are also allowed as office wear. Your work should speak for yourself not your clothes.

However, make sure that whatever you choose must go with your personality. Do not fall into the trap of modern trends and go out of your way to look fashionable. The clothes must fit you properly. Choice of fabric is also very important. If it is summer then go for linen or cotton that will make your skin breathe. Make sure your clothes are neatly stitched and properly ironed.

Make a good first Impression with smart Clothes

Business apparel plays a supporting role in an interview. It speaks a lot about you as a person despite your talent, intelligence and interactive skills playing primary role in your career progression. It will give that extra push in your interview if your dress properly. You should wear smart, well-fitted workwear. However, do not focus only on that.

A two-piece pantsuit or skirt suit will be the safest choice for any of the interview. Wearing a formal wear in an interview means that you are very professional in your attitude towards work. In colors, navy, black and gray are the preferred ones. Solid and subtle patterns in simple, light texture are the smart choices. You should dress properly keeping in mind the season, work profile and time of the day. That will project your thought process. Do not flash around some branded clothes if you are in your first interview. Always go for the full-sleeved shirts even in the sweltering heat.

In accessories, men should match their belts with shoes and women should match their bags with shoes. Neatly polished covered black shoe is the most preferred one. You should avoid any flashy or chunky jewelry. Well-combed or neatly tied hair with well-pressed clothes will carry some advantage for you to your employer.
