Differential office attire

Whenever we mention the term ‘workwear’, we all understand some serious clothing quite unlike the casuals. However, these work clothing vary a lot from one company to another, depending on the nature of the organizations, profile of work and several other factors. Generally, a number of offices have their own company apparel. Even those who do not have their branded apparel impose restrictions on the nature of office wears to be worn by the employees. Besides, different offices have their different needs and preferences. For example, a bank employee does not dress like a teacher of a school. Again, employees of advertising agencies wear casual modern outfits as their job profiles demand so. As against such outfits, business apparel is quite restricted and well defined.

As far the work clothing of banks is concerned, they are almost similar to the corporate workwear. These garments are generally a combination of casuals and professional business apparel. As in the corporate sectors, where dress codes in most of the cases are well defined, there are certain restrictions on some types of outfits. While men are supposed to wear trousers and full sleeve shirts with tie and, on some occasions suites, women also have certain specifications on their cloth items. Shorts, pajamas, sandals are not allowed on general office days except the casual Fridays. Even, on the casual Fridays, office wear should be professional and not revealing. Such revealing and improper outfits like open back tops and outfits, see-through shirts, skimpy and strappy camisole are to be avoided completely in the technology firms and banks.

Interestingly, the nature of workwear has changed over time. Primarily, until the trends of company apparel took the center-stage, there was comparatively less discipline regarding office outfits. Even at some places, men often used to confuse between casuals and office attires. Accordingly, they were quite trouble creating most of the times. As time passed, this confusion ceased with introduction of new office apparels. Many new offices in America and Canada set their attires. However, there was a considerable difference in approaches of such work clothing.

Now, along with the workwear, the concept of casual Fridays also has become prominent. These are actually the dress down days when employees are free to wear anything apart from their company apparel. However, company apparel is to be professional and full casuals like regular wears. Besides, Casual Fridays apply for those only who have preset company workwear. In short, one commonality among most of the office wears is their decency and professionalism.
